Trip Summary

In OLEG’s 2009 summer trip American students and tutors traveled to Georgia for three weeks to hold courses with both established and potential students and faculty of New Gelati Academy within Grigol Robakidze University in Tbilisi. The intention of the trip was to address New Gelati's need for faculty development. Through OLEG's work, New Gelati tutors observed leaders of discussion based classes based on the study of original texts and participated as students. The trip was successfully completed in the last week of July 2009. Below is an outline of the project.
